MEGAMICROBES® (BIOREDEX) BEVERAGE LINE CLEANER (BLC)

Beverage lines in restaurants, bars, and convenience stores are known for the development of beverage line sludge, commonly known as “sugar snakes.” These snake-like formations result from sugary overflow that drips down from the dispenser and settles in the outflow line. These “snakes” have a squid-like firm texture and can be up to 27 feet long. They are so thick that they completely fill the drain line preventing the passage of any liquid. Typical drain clearing products have little effect on the massive “snake.”

The results of allowing this buildup include loss of beverage revenue as the dispenser becomes unusable as well as expensive maintenance and cleaning. Replacement of the line parts is often necessary.

Beverage Line Cleaner (BLC) is a bio-digestant product made of specially cultivated beneficial bacteria and enzymes that prevent the formation of the sugar snake when used regularly in the line drain. BLC also has a positive effect on bad odors that emanate from beverage drain residue.

Avoid the messy maintenance and disposal headaches of sugar snakes with regular use of BLC. BLC is designed to remove and prevent carbohydrate residue build-up in drainage lines that have a high sugar load such as those running from beverage towers. Applications should be made daily just before a period of minimum drain usage, such as before nightly closing hours. BLC is provided in concentrated form which should be diluted 1 part in 10 water prior to application at a rate of 3 cups (24 ounces) per inch diameter of the drainage line.
For best efficiency we recommend using undiluted BLC straight from its container through a timed auto-dosing pump (available through NeoLogic) at a rate of 2.5 ounces per inch diameter of the drain line. Because this is a biological product, a little goes a long way, so you should be able to get 1-2 months of applications from a single 2.5 gallon bottle of BLC.
